Since it's winter in Yellowstone and well below freezing in the park, Old Faithful's super heated hot water makes for an exceptionally nice view when it blows. Enjoy!

First indicator of possible trouble at Yellowstone National Park (might) be when Old Faithful starts to erupt more and more frequently and for longer periods of time, possibly erupting non stop, just days or even hours before such a volcanic eruption might take place, that is, if an eruption is to happen at all.

Another indication of possible trouble at Yellowstone National Park (might) be when we no longer see people standing around Old Faithful in the live web cam shot above, day after day.  Possibly indicating that this area of the park has been closed off. In 2005 there was talk among the employees of Yellowstone as to weather or not park authorities will be closing the park down sometime soon.  Note: Sometimes you may not see people in the live web cam shot do to rain, extreme cold, snow and nightfall of course. However, there is always someone that will eventually venture out to Old Faithful, regardless of weather conditions as long as the park remains open.

Should Yellowstone's Super volcano erupt, this region of the park will of course be completely wiped out and the transmission of the live web cam will be lost.  So be sure to see if the web cam is updating before you jump to any conclusions, as web cams can get stuck on the same frame. We have no control over Yellowstone's live webcam whatsoever.
