*January 21, 2007:  Old Faithful continues to erupt with great force, creating a truly beautiful geyser. This pattern has continued over recent years.  If you know anything about the current state of Yellowstone Park as possibly you live or work in the region or have recently visited Yellowstone, would you please email us with what you do know.

 Thank you kindly.

Just let this screen run until the time of the predicted eruption found at the top of the picture. When you start to see lots of people gathering at the base of Old Faithful, that generally means it's about to erupt. It's quite a site to behold!

The current time and temperature at
Yellowstone Nation Park Can Be Found In The Most Upper Part of The Image.
All Times Above Are Standard Mountain Time. (SMT)

First indicator of possible trouble at Yellowstone National Park (might) be when Old Faithful starts to erupt more and more frequently and for longer periods of time, possibly erupting non stop, just days or even hours before such a volcanic eruption might take place, that is, if an eruption is to happen at all.

Another indication of possible trouble at Yellowstone National Park (might) be when we no longer see people in the live web cam shot above day after day, standing around Old Faithful. Possibly meaning that this area of the park has been closed off. In 2005 there was talk among the employees of Yellowstone as to weather or not park authorities will be closing the park down sometime soon. Note: Sometimes you may not see people in the live web cam shot do to rain, extreme cold, snow and nightfall of course. However, there is always someone that will eventually venture out to Old Faithful, regardless of weather conditions as long as the park is open.

Should Yellowstone's Super volcano erupt, this region of the park will of course be completely wiped out and the transmission of the live web cam will be lost.  So be sure to see if the web cam is updating before you jump to any conclusions, as web cams can get stuck on the same frame. We have no control over Yellowstone's live webcam whatsoever.

The Old Faithful Webcam sends a new real-time photo of Old Faithful Geyser approximately every 30 seconds. Old Faithful is not the largest or most regular geyser in the park. Rather its become the most popular destination because it erupts more frequently than any of the other big geysers at Yellow Stone National Park.

All times mentioned on this page are Mountain Time.
