Nearly every conceivable sport takes place here on and around Smith Mountain Lake (SML).  State as well as National competitions are held here at SML each year, not to mention "What About Bob" was filmed here, including 2 episodes of "The Twilight Zone" in the 1990's. Now the imaginary town of Mayberry from the TV Andy Griffith show is well under construction here at SML as some fifty plus million has already been built and is expected to take some 10 years to finish the main stage!  You may want to visit our main homepage to better acquaint yourself with the lake, not to mention this site is loaded with great picture galleries!
