This is the Peaks Of Otter mountain range, about 35 minutes north of Smith Mountain Lake, located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia USA. There you will find a beautiful mountain lake, food, lodging, horse back riding  and incredible vista views and foot trails.
